The Hedionda Baths are sulfurous baths with a lot of history and legends behind them. It is located in Malaga, in the town of Casares.
This place keeps many legends since its origin is still unknown, but according to one of these legends it is believed that in the year 61 B.C., the Roman troops were camped in this area ready to face Pompey’s troops and, being infected with scabies, they would be relieved by bathing there; although, according to others, Julius Caesar himself cured of a herpes infection and ordered the construction of the baths that are preserved today.
